Partners & Hubs

Implementing Project Actions on Territories in Synergy with Schools and Organizations (HUB).

The selection of the four Local Hubs have taken in account criteria, such as:

  • Interest in strengthening their networks and expanding them through new opportunities in the education sector;
  • Already existing music programs, with a diversification of no-traditional approaches;
  • Cross-sectorial reinforcement: each Hub brings specific competences depending on its local engagement model (specified above);
  • Readiness (both for partner, associated schools) to test outputs and methodologies within school practices.

The project brings together 2 schools as full partners (IV Circolo Didattico from Piacenza and Colegio Manuel Nuñez de Arenas from Madrid), 4 schools as associated partner (IC Leonardo da Vinci – Anna Frank from Turin, Kalatasama, Aleksis Kivi, Vallila from Helsinki) 3 schools as external partners (IC Frassati, IC Torino II, IC Regio Parco).

Turin Hub

Student's age
6 - 12 years old

The Turin Hub includes five primary schools set in the northern suburbs of the city: districts with economic and socio-cultural disadvantages, with strong multi-ethnicity and unsolved urban planning.

In schools the average special education needs students is up to 10%. The context lacks in aggregative cultural services.

All schools from Turin Hub participated at CRESCERE IN ORCHESTRA - MUSICA PER LA TERRA project, carried out from 2019 to 2021 in Turin.

Embedded in the broader initiative CRESCERE IN ORCHESTRA, its rationale focuses on the impact that music training has on attitudes/behaviors respect and care towards oneself, others and the environment in harmony with 2030 Agenda. The project brings pre-school and school children closer to music, following the Venezuelan children's orchestral system "Abreu". FPS has a coordination role of the project in collaboration with PH.
